Day 1: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
You will be welcomed at the airport by your English-speaking assistant and taken to the Belmond Copacabana Palace to settle in. An icon of the Rio beachfront, this historic hotel is a glamorous introduction to the “Marvelous City.”

MASTERPIECE COLLECTION*: Brazilian Dinner & Dance Show
Sit for dinner at the famous Churrascaria Palace. Serving up classic Brazilian barbeque, this restaurant slices meats right at your table and offers an all-you-can-eat buffet of side dishes. After dinner, just a short drive away, we’ll treat you to a show at the Ginga Tropical for a colorful immersion into the culture, folklore, and music of Brazil, highlighting dance styles from Capoeira to Samba.

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (BB, L)
FEATURED EXCURSION: Highlights of Rio Tour
Set out with a local guide for a full-day tour of Rio de Janeiro. We’ll start with a quick drive to the train station for a cogwheel train ride through the Tijuca Forest up the Corcovado Mountain, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer rises above the city. Next, enjoy traditional Brazilian barbecue—known as churrasco—for lunch at a fantastic restaurant with an enchanting view of Sugar Loaf Mountain and Guanabara Bay. After lunch, we’ll drive to Rio’s downtown area for a panoramic tour of the city’s finest architectural landmarks, such as the Candelaria Church and the Carioca Aqueduct. Cap off the tour with a ride up to Sugarloaf Mountain in a glass cable car.

You’ll have the evening to spend at your leisure.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro, fly to Iguazu Falls, Brazil (BB)
FEATURED EXCURSION: Iguazu National Park Hike
This morning, transfer to the Rio de Janeiro airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival, you’ll take a guided walk along the paths to appreciate the lush vegetation, butterflies, and cascades offered by the Iguazu National Park. Enjoy panoramic views of the Devil’s Throat, the Two Sisters and Bozzetti waterfalls, the Superior Circuit, and San Martin Island, where the movie “The Mission” was filmed. After, check in to the charming Belmond das Cataratas. Situated on the Brazilian side of Iguazu, this pastel-pink hotel boasts the best views over the falls.

Day 4: Iguazu Falls, Argentina (BB, L)
FEATURED EXCURSION: The Argentinian Side of Iguazu Falls
After breakfast, depart for a full-day tour of the Argentinian side of the falls. Leave the hotel and drive to Iguazu National Park in Argentina. From the visitor’s center, take the train to go to the Upper Circuit to appreciate amazing views of the falls. Arrive at the Devil’s Throat, the peak’s most impressive and immense waterfalls. Measuring 492 ft long and 262 ft high, its horseshoe shape creates a stunning waterfall you will remember forever. In the midst of our explorations, we’ll break for lunch at a local restaurant.

MASTERPIECE COLLECTION*: Safari Boat Ride
Get up close to the vibrant flora and fauna of the Iguazu Falls on a safari boat tour. Begin inside the Iguazu National Park and board a jeep-towed wagon to drive along a trail with fantastic views of the jungle. Next, set out on an optional hike to “Macuco Falls,” where you can take a dip in the water to cool off from the heat before we board our safari boat to travel up the river. We’ll sail by fascinating rocks, wildlife, and lush greenery on our way to the base of the falls, next to the great horseshoe-shaped bend known as the "Devil's Throat". We’ll also sail to the "The Three Musketeers,” where the captain will maneuver the boat in order to get close enough to provide you with a quick and refreshing shower.

Please note that all passengers are likely to get wet on this excursion. We recommend that you dress accordingly and/or bring any spare clothes you might want to change into.

Day 5: Departure (BB)
One adventure ends, and another begins! Now that your time in Brazil and Argentina has come to a close, it’s time to fly to Lima, Peru to begin your Amazonian itinerary.
